Domaine Carneros Cuvée Brut, Carneros, CA

Established in 1987, Domaine Carneros is the California expression of the tradition of its founder, Champagne Taittinger. Winemaker for Domaine Carneros, Eileen Crane, is often referred to as America’s Doyenne of Sparkling Wine, having spent 30 years in the industry, making her the most experienced Sparkling Winemaker in the United States. After completing her degree at UC Davis, Crane worked for Domaine Chandon and was then hired as President and Winemaker of Gloria Ferrer Champagne. Claude Taittinger then hand picked her for the position of President and Winemaker of Domaine Carneros where she oversaw the planning and development of the beautiful Carneros chateau, vineyards and winemaking facility.

The Domaine Carneros Sparkling Brut is a blend of 58% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay , aged in the bottle for three years before release. It has aromas of flowers, pears and citrus peel enhanced with notes of toast, vanilla and spice. The wine is rich and round with a flavorful finish.
