Winemakers Franco De Biasio and Michele Faccin craft the Cleto Chiarli Brut de Noir Rosé from a blend of 85% Lambrusco Grasparossa and 15% Pinot Nero (aka Pinot Noir). The grapes went through a soft pressing at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts added. Secondary fermentation (aka Pris de Mousse) took place using the Charmat method.
The result is a delightful wine with a frothy, red currant color and fine perlage. On the nose it is intense and fruity, with flavors of wild berries. It is excellent as an aperitif, and pairs well with a variety of cuisines. It also goes very well with desserts, strawberry and fruit salads.
