This week we're featuring the fabulous wines of Schramsberg Vineyards! In 1965 Jack and Jamie Davies purchased the abandoned winery and over the next 40 years built it into America's House of Sparkling Wine. During this time the Schramsberg wines gained international recognition when President Nixon served the Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs in 1972 at the "Toast to Peace" in Beijing, China. The Schramsberg wines have been served by every Presidential administration since. In addition to their fabulous sparkling wines, Schramsberg also produces critically acclaimed red wines under the J. Davies label including the J. Davies Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is named for patriarch Jack Davies and is the product of an intimate knowledge of a place and a passion to create a delicious red wine.
