The fruit for the Chiarlo Gavi "Le Marne," comes from vineyards near the town of Gavi, where calcareous clay, volcanic, iron and chalky limestone soils together with the area’s mediating Mediterranean breezes and cool mountain winds create an ideal microclimate for growing the Cortese grape to optimal ripeness.

This wine is made from 100% Cortese, a grape which produces a crisp, elegant, delicately scented wine. This wine is aged on the lees in stainless steel tanks until bottling resulting is a delightful white wine with inviting aromas of white flowers, citrus and minerals. On the palate flavors of white peach and lemon accompanied by a refreshingly crisp acidity. This wine is perfect for pairing with grilled or roasted white meats, deep sea fish and shellfish.
